A public hearing will be held by Bucyrus City Council on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 500 S. Sandusky Ave.
The Bucyrus City Council’s Platting Committee is considering amending Section 1157.02 of the Bucyrus Zoning Code, entitled “Official Zoning District Map,” to re-designate 815 and 825 Whetstone St. from Urban Neighborhood Residential (R3) to General Industrial (GI) and 760 Highland Ave. from Limited Industrial Commercial (LIC) to General Industrial (GI) to allow for development consistent with existing uses at the Crawford County Garage. The Bucyrus City Council’s Platting Committee is also considering amending Section 1157.02 of the Bucyrus Zoning Code, entitled “Official Zoning District Map,” to re-designate 610 Whetstone St. from Urban Neighborhood Residential (R3) to Special Use (SU) to accommodate development consistent with existing uses at the Crawford County Fairgrounds.
The Bucyrus City Council’s Platting Committee is considering amending and supplementing Bucyrus Codified Ordinance 1151.05 of Chapter 1151- Nonconformities. of Title Seven- Zoning Administration and Enforcement, of Part Eleven- Planning and Zoning Code, of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Bucyrus, Ohio. The text or copy of the text of the proposed Ordinance, together with maps, plans, and reports or copies thereof forming part of or referenced in such proposed Ordinance shall be on file, for public examination, in the office of the Zoning Inspector.
Residents may express their opinions about these proposed zoning changes in one of two ways: (1) by appearing at the public hearing on March 1st, 2022, where they will have an opportunity to present their opinions; or (2) by submitting a letter addressed to Landyn Hill, Zoning Administrator, City of Bucyrus, 500 S. Sandusky Ave., Bucyrus, Ohio 44820. The letter must be received prior to the public hearing so it can be entered into the official record during the hearing.
